Awkweird Me
Peeping Tom (1960)
This is one of the first films to be considered part of the ‘slasher’ sub-genre in horror films. It’s not really gory and it doesn’t have a high body count, but it does employ the perspective of the killer. Psycho (1960) came out just a few months later and became the true beginning of what would become the slasher film. Anyway, apart from its influence and some cool technical aspects, I didn’t care too much for this film. The structure (or lack thereof) didn’t feel right, I didn’t understand the characters and, to be honest, the acting was fairly mediocre. I could appreciate parts of it, but mostly, I found it strange and slightly boring.
