This film stars and is written and directed by Josh Radnor, most famous for his role as Ted in the TV show How I Met Your Mother. I like him on that show and I like when actors try writing and directing, so I was keen to give this a watch. It’s hard not to draw comparisons between this and Zach Braff’s Garden State (2004). And they do have similarities (being from a writer/director/star who is most famous as a sitcom actor, being about people trying to find and accept love), but they’re not identical and I like them both. The story isn’t just about Radnor’s character - there are several storylines going on. I really enjoyed it overall actually. It was sweet, funny, well-written and well-cast. I’m glad to see that Radnor is making another film, due for release next year. Also, Kate Mara is my new celebrity crush.
